TAPAS TOUR – FUERTEVENTURA AND ITS PEOPLE

More information

The Tapas Tour in Fuerteventura is a culinary journey to two select farms. You’ll discover the culture and hidden gems of Fuerteventura’s gastronomy.

At each farm, an interactive tour awaits, introducing you to the island’s local products.

Taste prickly pears, mojo sauces, and jams. Learn how extra virgin olive oil is made. Delicious goat cheese is a must-try and is offered during a cheese and red wine tasting.

The live cooking demonstration featuring mojo verde is a popular event.

Get a taste of local life and be surprised by new flavors.

Visit the Cactus Farm:

Did you know that cacti thrive in Fuerteventura? On our tour of the farm, sample the rare cactus fruits (depending on the season) and learn about the edible nopal cactus.

The tour guide also demonstrates how to make your own mojo verde sauce. The Canary Islands have their own unique rustic cuisine. Try it!

Prickly pears are rich in vitamins and antioxidants, and their color is a blend of red, purple, and crimson. We learn how to preserve the plant, harvest the fruit, and taste the prickly pear.

Olive Oil Tasting:

In Adrian’s olive grove, we’ve created a space under the eucalyptus tree. The welcoming atmosphere and the family’s history make this a unique experience.

Together, we’ll enjoy a professional tasting of the estate’s extra virgin olive oil. Learn more about olive oil production and cultivation on the farm.

The tour of the estate not only features olive trees but also a variety of fruit trees tempting you with seasonal fruits. The perfect spot for an unforgettable photo.

Goats and Cheese:

For centuries, Fuerteventura had more goats than residents. Goat cheese is Fuerteventura’s most famous product and enjoys international acclaim.

Enjoy a glass of red wine and discover your favorite cheese during the cheese tasting. The goats are here, and we look forward to your visit.

Gofio and More:

A new addition to the program is the Gofio Workshop. Start by making your own Gofio Ball.

Gofio is a flour made from toasted grains and is an integral part of Canarian culture. Life was unimaginable without Gofio. These days, we rarely hear about the tradition of eating Gofio. That’s why it’s even more interesting to learn more about it. Perhaps an idea for home?
Today, tapas are enjoyed all over the world and have become a symbol of Spanish cuisine. They reflect the diversity and creativity of culinary traditions. Whether as a casual snack or a full meal, tapas bring people together and celebrate the rich flavors and customs of Spain.
