Palmitos Park is a botanical garden and zoo park founded in 1978 with an extension of 240,000 square metres in a natural valley, named Barranco de los Palmitos, in the south of the island of Gran Canaria. Hundreds and hundreds of species, both animal and vegetal, can be found at this subtropical oasis. These species are either autochthonous or brought from all over the world.

Currently, Palmitos Park gathers over 200 species of trees and plants and around 500 animals are distributed all over the park, whose facilities display several terrestrial and marine ecosystems.

The park is also famous for its shows, which delight both children and adults alike. You will enjoy the wonderful exhibition of the dolphins, as so will you with the one of the parrots, the one of the birds of prey and the one of the exotic birds.

The dolphinarium has 6 bottlenose dolphins divided into 3 pools of over 3,000 square metres. The grandstand built there to see them has room for 1,500 people. There are two shows everyday: one at 13:30 and another one at 16:00. The parrots’ show has 5 daily shows at the following times: 10:30, 11:30, 14:30, and 15:30. You will be able to enjoy the birds of prey at 11:30 and 15:00. Last, the exotic birds are shown in all their beauty at 14:30.

Meeting Point: Palmitos Park does not offer a pick-up service for their clients. There two bus lines which communicate perfectly with the park: line 45, with stops from Bahía Feliz, Playa del Inglés, Campo Internacional and San Agustín, and line 70, with stops from Campo Internacional, Puerto de Mogán, Puerto Rico, Amadores and Faro de Maspalomas.
